You have begun chiropractic care.  You have probably noticed some changes.  You might be interested to know about what benefits others experience.

A survey of chiropractic patients published in the Chiropractic Journal of Australia in 2017[1] found:

-          People usually began chiropractic for help with spine problems such as back and neck pain.

-          Prior to beginning chiropractic about 60% thought it would help with their main complaint, and after experiencing chiropractic over 94% believed it could help

-          90% of patients reported benefits beyond relief of their main complaint.

These reported benefits aside from pain included improvements with:

1.       Digestion

2.       Energy

3.       Stress

4.       Sleep

5.       Bowel habits

6.       Sense of wellbeing

7.       Breathing

8.       Strength

9.       Exercise capability

10.   Mental health

11.   Physical stamina

12.   Sexual function

Researchers concluded the benefits experienced went well beyond aches and pains.   Great news!

Results of another survey of chiropractic patients published in 2014 [2] found similarly fascinating results:

-          68% people initially saw the chiropractor for spine related aches and pains

-          96% experienced improvements in “general health and wellbeing” aside from their main complaint.

-          70% of respondents indicated that they liked chiropractic because it aligned with their personal philosophy and values.

While the spine is the focus, it’s the nervous system  that explains the health and wellbeing benefits beyond aches and pains.

Chiropractic is based on 2 principles:

1.       The body heals itself.  For example if you cut yourself it heals, if you cut a steak it does not.

2.       The nervous system is the master system of the body.   The brain sends and receives  messages to and from every cell in the body.

So chiropractic by improving the alignment and function of the spine, actually improves the function of the nervous system.  With a nervous system free from interference the body is better able to co-ordinate functions of the body.  This improved nervous system function explains the benefits that over 90% of patients reported.

Life is better in alignment!
